WORKSHOPS

WHAT DO YOU LOVE?

Description: This workshop is focused on what you love. Think about who or what means a lot to you, what kinds of photos would describe or symbolize them?

MINDFULNESS.

Description: What’s around you? What do you often forget about or not really notice due to the busyness of life? What’s helped you become more mindful? Each day, take a moment to pause what you’re doing and take some deep breaths (aim for 10). Upon completion of your deep breaths, slowly take a look around you––is there anything that you haven’t noticed before?, What are small details of the room or space you’re in?, Is there a nice aroma in the air of a perfume or meal being cooked?. Ask yourself questions that’ll help you become more aware of the setting around you. This will help you to be more present.

RELAXATION AND TRANQUILITY.

Description: What does tranquility and relaxation look like to you? This workshop will focus on photographing items, places or different things that help you to relax. Think about what calms your mind when you’re stressed out. What helps you to breath and reach tranquility? For example, I would take a photo of a tree because breathing the fresh oxygen it’s releasing, calms me down.

This workshop can motivate participants to think about the things they are passionate about doing in their lives and taking photos to represent those goals and dreams can serve as visual representations which can inspire them in the long run.

Description: According to you, what would you say does not describe you? People can say different things to describe you but only you determine what defines you. Take photos to complete this sentence: “I am not…” This workshop’s mission is for the participant to take photos of anything they believe does not define them or represent who they are. This workshop can help with the building of self-esteem, self-love and self-empowerment.
